Hi Mark,
Switching the library to MITAB.dll did the trick!
Thanks for your help

Hi Jenny,
As SRG noted there are differences between how DGN and TAB hold text that cause some difficulty; for example justification in IGDS means the origin point of the text whereas in MapInfo it is a more traditional definition of justification (ie left, centre or right) within the text bounding box.
For any text problem with TAB there are a number of options you can try...
Our MapInfo TAB writer uses a library from MapInfo (MFAL). Sometimes this makes mistakes in text placement when the coordinate system is not set. If you can make sure the coordinate system is set this may help.
We have a second MapInfo TAB writer library of our own development (MITAB) - it does not have the same text placement problems. You can switch to the alternate library by renaming mitab.dll to mapinfo.dll (I'd suggest making a backup copy of any existing mapinfo.dll).
Write to MIF/MID instead - this does not have the same problem.
I'd also suggest using a newer build - build 628 is fairly old now and it is unlikely we'd be able to do much to support it.
I hope something here helps to solve your problem; if not and you have a valid AMC you should send it to us via [EMAIL PROTECTED] (including a copy of your data and any workspace plus screenshots if possible) and we will check if there is a bug that needs fixing.
Regards,
Mark

Subject: [fme] Mapinfo text moved when rotated > 270 degrees
Hi,
I have projects that translate frn dgn or shp toMapinfo tab. When I have textobject (streetnames) that are rotated more than 270 degrees the entire text is moved . Y is the same but x is wrong it is moved west. The rotation angle is correct.
I use labelpointreplacer when I run it with shape but with microsoft dgn files it is pretty straight forward. Even if I strip my workspaces so I dont use any transformers, the problem remains.
All my other streetnames are correct.
I have used 2002 SR-1 build 628, 20040512 build 1314 and Ice3 but I get the same result.
Really hope you guys have some useful tips for me.
/Jenny
