Further to my query, I have been checking the user forum database of the
previous issues regarding extracting data from ORACLE and table joins and
have come across a suggestion to use 'owner.tablename' in the query. This is
as described in message 7963, by Dale Lutz.
I have done this, subsstituting . for _ after uni7live who is the defined
as the owner in all_tables. However, the results are still the same. I do
not get my expected single row selection but the entire contents of both
tables.
I am using FME 2004, so would assume that the earlier problems have been
fixed.

The issue is that FME is ignoring the "where" and "and" clauses in the SQL
select statement.

Any assistance in resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated,

Thanks,

Oswin Remedios
