Jackie,

This is for MAC using FM 5.5 and should do the same for PC. Click on
field, select all, copy; launch graphic program (preview, quicktime,
photoshop), select new file from copied image, paste - and this should
show the image. Do a save as - in Preview, must be pict, and choose
suffixes that are offered for Quicktime, Photoshop, or other graphic
application. Be sure to check your dpi and picture quality.

Dragging images to the desktop creates a picture clipping when using
MACs. I tried doing this with an image in FM7 and it does not do a
picture clipping. However, FM7 will allow you to export field contents
from the edit command as a pict file, if you upgrade FileMaker in the
future.

Maybe someone else has more info to say here.

Charlene

Subject: Maintaining JPG or other format

I have Filemaker 5.5 and would like to be able to maintain the JPG,
PhotoShop or other format of a picture that I put into a Container
field, but currently, when I drag or pull a picture out that I need to
retrieve, it comes out as a Picture Clipping.

Am I inputting it wrong? Pulling it out wrong?
