Adam,
I've been running FMPro Server 5.5 on a 1GHz G4 iMac for several
years with no problems. I have about 12 steady users at any one time,
and have had no major problems. If you run huge sorts or something,
you might see some slowdown, but I've always been amazed at how
stable the thing is. Before the flatscreen iMac, I was running server
on one of the old 600 MHz teardrop iMacs on OS9, and it still ran
amazingly well. Before you go with any upgrades to the G4, run it for
awhile and see how it performs. You'll probably be surprised.
