Hey Patricio,

When you're talking about 'all records' and 'found set', are you talking about the parent record set, the child record set, or child related records?

If the summary field is from the child table, I get a summary value for each parent record of just its child records. If it's a 'running total' summary, I get a proper running total summary in the body (ie a portal will have the running total of each portal line), but just a total summary in the footer or header (even if I put a portal in the header or footer, each line shows the total, not running total).

However, in every case the related summary field is always based on the related records to the current parent record. I'm not sure this is is what you're expecting (or experiencing). If it's not, can you provide an example of what you'd like it to do?

Hello, all:

Using FMPro 8.5, I need to display (in browse mode) data contained in a summary field in a related table. I've tried several options, including a portal, but I always get a summary for all records. I need to display a summary for the found set only.

While this used to work in FMPro 6.0, I can't figure out why it broke in 8.5.

TIA.
