If you are looking for an easy to follow book to learn FM7 and up, try SAMS
Teach Yourself FileMaker 7 in 24 Hours by Jesse Feiler. He has templates
available for download that accompany the *hours*. I found his approach to
be a good one to use for teaching others.

For more advanced work, try Using FileMaker Pro 8 by Bowers, Lane and Love.
CD accompanies the text. Excellent resource and technique builder.
