The only time I've experienced this problem is when the host file is
either not open or the file sharing in filemaker is not 'On'. When you
checked the file sharing dialog box are the options on the right side
all correct eg 'All users' and the bottom box 'Don't display' etc not
ticked.
also the file that is to be 'seen' should be displayed on the left side
of that dialog box as a currently opened file.

In the "Open Remote" dialog window, they can all see the host hard
drive in the left-hand pane but none of the open FMP files in the
right-hand pane.
The host computer CAN see them from "Open Remote", so I know their
existence is being broadcast.
