I'm using FM Pro 8 Advanced (8.0v3) on OS X 10.4.3.
I've only used the "Auto-complete using previously entered values"
feature once, and it worked great.
In my second attempt to use it, in the Field/Control Setup dialogue
box, the text "Auto-complete using previously entered values" is
dimmed and nothing I try makes it clickable. The specifics are:
The field is a Text Field with 1 repetition. It is indexed.
The layout view is List View
In the Field/Control Setup, I have Display as Edit Box
Include vertical scroll bar is not checked.
And the "Auto-complete using previously entered values" is as dim
as a solar eclipse!
Has anyone run into this before or know what I might be doing wrong?
Not a feature I use a lot but here it goes:
Have you checked if the field is indexed ?
Also are there valid values in the records ?
