I do not use table formats that often in FM because our data mainly has
customized reports where some have use of 300 fields. I do not think a
clone Lotus123 spreadsheet would be appropriate. I had wondered if the
FM file in that video was on the same computer as the other programs,
which that would slow down the file opening.

Ha ha! Strangely that particular comparison is not in the FMI pdf!!

But if your sole purpose was to query sql data, Filemaker is fairly  
obviously not the right software choice. What the video did not show  
was the ease or complexity of creating a decent interface for that  
list data.
