Greetings All,

Here is a challenge for me. And I invite comment on whether or not this is feasible.

I have primary database system. Call it DBPrime.

I have a separate database system. Call it DBRelated.

As the need arises, I would like to make multiple versions of DBRelated and link them to DBPrime, on the fly.

How can that be done from the Users' perspective, i.e., limited access but sufficient to allow the duplication of the DBRelated and linking it to the DBPrime?

The reason for this is because DBRelating has half-a-million blank records in it and the generation of that many records would require HOURS of crunching, as opposed to a few minutes of updating to meet the USERS' needs, via some script. Hence the desire to use a blank template DBRelated, change the name and link it to DBPrime.

I'm open to suggestions....

Regards,

Chuck
