Use a number field. Set it to a value list with one value: "1".

A trick recently taught me by the great Kent Searight is to set an auto-enter calc on that field like so:

GetAsBoolean ( fieldName )

Set it to always replace and even work if empty.

That will limit its content to a 1 or a 0. The nice thing about this is that it will force an empty field to 0 (zero).

That allows you to count on it for a relationship in both states.

Neat.

If GetAsBoolean is not in 8.5 (that was soooo twenty minutes ago!), you won't get to do the auto-enter calc, but the rest will still work great for the True state.
