Thank you again to everyone. I have done my best to email everyone and thank them individually for their generosity. Last night I spend 5 hours shopping for toys and books for the children's hospital. I have uploaded some pictures to the holiday page.
http://www.fmwebschool.com/holiday.php Because of the FileMaker community we were able to buy nearly $2000 in books and toys last night. The owners of the store and customers got so excited that I had one gentleman donate $100 dollars on the spot and the store owner also contributed another $100+ dollars in toys. I purchased toys that were educational and that the children could play with for a long time. After speaking to the director of the hospital I learned there were over 600 children there, many terminal, many that would not get to see another Christmas. At 2:00 today, I will travel to the hospital to meet 100 children. I am trying to prepare myself for this - and at the same time I still feel some guilt as there are so many other children that will not receive gifts. So this year my new years resolution is that FMWebschool will do MORE each year. Whether it is working with other 3rd party FileMaker vendors to earn more money for the children, or whatever we have to do. This year Christmas has finally come alive for me and I am so excited to be able to help. **** Please we are not asking that you buy our product, but if you would like to make a donation, I will make another trip to the day after Christmas to deliver more toys.
