I still consider myself pretty new at Filemaker. What I really want to do is create a Union query of similar subsetted information from about 20 tables. However, I understand Filemaker does not support "Union" Queries.
As a work-around I thought I might write a script that would copy records (only the fields of interest) from each of the 20 tables to a single table and then query that one. From other sources, they recommend using the IMPORT step to do this. But that only seems to work from a file source, not a table source. Yet they talk about it as though it was obviously possible. What am I missing here? Is there a better way to solve the "Union Query" problem? Any details of how the script might look would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Gary
