Jonathan,

Could the file have been corrupted? Have you tried saving as a compacted copy and attempting the import using the compacted file? Do you have a backup of the file from a time before the problem(s) emerged?

Lee.

I have a large customer that has an array of FMS 9 servers hosting dozens of files with a total of a couple hundred tables running on Windows Server 2003 in virtual machines on various blades supplying a couple hundred seats of FMP 8, 8.5 and 9 clients.

What happens:
They have one file that is pretty complex with multiple tables and dozens of TOs that was working fine up until a few weeks ago. Scripted imports from ODBC started to hang.

When importing manually, the progress bar will appear to complete and then it will "coffee cup."

This has happened in testing with as few as four records imported. They have been able to reproduce the behavior with different tables (but not all) within the file. Upon further testing they also found that it happens with any import: from other FMP files and even tables within the same file.

Has anyone seen this behavior and/or have any idea of what to do?
