Hi everyone,
A user in Australia has brought to my attention that the owner's
manual for AutoNavigator may be a bit vague in one regard. As this is
a small issue, it seems sending out the information via the FMP lists
is the best solution.
If you have a licensed copy of AutoNavigator 2.0 for Filemaker™ Pro
you are probably aware that in addition to controlling its own
automatically created layout tabs, AutoNavigator also monitors all the
tabs on all of Filemaker's built-in tab-object tabs, as long as you
name each one. This works even if you have multiple groups of nested
sets of Filemaker tab objects.
The vagueness comes from the fact that in addition to naming the tabs
in the tab object creation dialog, you must ALSO name them in the
"object info" box while you are in layout mode. In fact, AutoNavigator
ignores the names used to create the tab object and pays attention
only to the names given in the "object info" box (under the "View" menu.
My apologies if anyone else has had to scratch their head over this.
