Deb,
I haven't followed your entire thread, but I share your frustration
with Applescript. Those who use it a lot always tout how easy it is,
yet it always boggles my mind. I long since gave up and purchased the
Troi File plugin to handle all of my image moving and naming needs in
Filemaker. Some people don't like to go with plugins, but it works and
you can just about copy and paste from the examples these days. A
single user is only $89 and it's worth every penny. I'm currently in
the process of updating our image database and the Troi file plug in
is invaluable to me for quickly AND easily building scripts to move,
copy and delete images. It will also push and pull Metadata into
jpegs. It gets squirrelly with tiffs, but works like a charm on jpegs.
Hope that helps some.
