Troi Automatisering releases Troi File Plug-in 4.6.2 for FileMaker Pro 10

Automatisering today announced the immediate availability of Troi
File Plug-in 4.6.2 for FileMaker Pro 10.
What is Troi File Plug-in?
Troi File Plug-in is a very powerful tool for getting access to
information outside the FileMaker Pro database. Any files or folders
stored on the computer can be accessed through the functions of the
plug-in. All from within FileMaker Pro you can:
- get data from files that are on the disk of the computer into FileMaker Pro
- create files anywhere on the hard disk and put data from FileMaker
fields into them
- manipulate files and folders on the disk: this includes creating,
deleting, copying, moving and modifying files and folders
- get the size on disk, creation and modification dates and much more
- launch and reveal files directly from FileMaker Pro
- manage your images and movies, and read and write IPTC and Exif
metadata to JPEG images!
What is new in version 4.6.2?
Troi File Plug-in 4.6.2 fixes several bugs but also has some new
features. It has these main changes:
- Improved Drag and Drop functionality: drag and drop with a renamed
window now also works!
- (Mac OS X) Added new switch "-PackageFolderAttr" to the function
TrFile_GetFileAttribute: this can be used to determine if a file is a
package folder.
- Improved the example files DragAndDrop.fp7 and ManageMedia.fp7 to
better handle audio files, like .mp3, .m4a and .mid files. Also
DragAndDrop.fp7 makes use of the new "-PackageFolderAttr" switch.
- Improved the TrFile_MetaData function for the switch
"-GetMovieDescription": added Current Time (in seconds) to movie
description.
- Improved handling of volumes with higher Unicode characters in
TrFile_SelectFileDialog and TrFile_SaveFileDialog.
- Fixed a problem with the TrFile_CreateThumbnail and 16-bit images.
- Fixed a bug in the example file RecursiveFolder.fp7. It would stop too soon.
- (Mac OS X) Disabled a default workaround for a bug in the Alias
manager. This workaround would lead to a $$-1407 error
(errFSNotAFolder) for some functions when users are also using
network based home directories.

Troi File Plug-in 4.6.2 works with FileMaker Pro 8.x, 9 and 10. The
plug-in can also be used with runtimes from FileMaker Pro Advanced
8.x, 9 or FileMaker Pro Advanced 10. The plug-in is available for Mac
OS X 10.4.5 or higher, Windows XP (Service Pack 2) and Windows Vista.
QuickTime 7 or later is needed for some image related functions.

FileMaker Server requirements
Troi File Plug-in 4.6.2 also works with FileMaker Server 9 or
FileMaker Server 10 as a server-side plug-in and as a plug-in used by
the web publishing engine. To use this, you need to purchase a
special cross-platform Server/Web license which costs US$ 399.

Upgrade information
The update is free for all users of version 4.5 and 4.6. The 4.6.2
version also works with the 4.5 registration string. Users who bought
a license for Troi File Plug-in on or after March 1st, 2007 are
entitled to a free upgrade. We have emailed these registered users a
new registration string in June 2008. Please email us if you have not
received a new registration string.
Upgrades from licenses bought before March 1st, 2007, are available
from US$ 49 per user.
