Hi Larry,

Next time you get to one of the problem system, see if you ended up with two version of FileMaker on the system, the 11.2 and the 11.3. It's possible that you are clicking on a shortcut going to the older version.

I know it should have been replaced, but Windows (XP anyway) sometimes ends up with a main copy set up for all users and a user version attached to the user who did the original installation.

Best of luck sorting this out.

Hi Larry,

I have a copy of FMS 11.3 and have been running FM Pro clients versions
9 through 11.3 with out any issues. I updated my last copy of FM Pro
advanced 11.2 to 11.3 today. So I think it should work for you, it did
for me. You can check the Filemaker Knowledge base for a more
definitive answer.

What type of problems are you having with the install. On my systems (
Mac and Windows ) I have been able to download the update and run it.
Installs went smoothly.

Hi Bruce
Thanks for the reply. It seems to be working on your end!
I run the installer on Windows XP, Vista, and 7 Clients - all with 11.2
version of FM. It goes through all the steps,
finishes without a hitch, then I open that version of FileMaker I did the
install on, and it still says 11.2.
Some computers it works fine. I'll have to go back and see if there are
any similarities as to why it
does not work on some computers (all Vista OS or XP, etc.).

I assume this solves the Java issues as well with the server update?
I had also posted this question on FM Technet, so maybe I'll get
additional replies.

Thanks again.

Hi --

Any issues with installing the FileMaker Pro 11.3 server update, then
running 11.2 and 11.3 clients with this version of the server?

I am having some difficulty with the client upgrades from 11.2 to 11.3,
as
some updates do not work, and I'd like to be able to install the server
software now, and troubleshoot the clients installs later, as there are
a
lot of them.

Thanks!
