Hi Peter,

Like you when 11 first came out I didn't like the move of the tool bar to the top. To be honest, I gt used to it in no time. I like the fact that I can customize the icons it shows. I still support projects in version 9 and 10. I have gotten used to going back and forth but have come to prefer the setup in 11.

If you need only one copy I would suggest going for it. If you need a number of copies FileMaker offers an annual license agreement. Much lower cost now, but you have to pay annually to keep the license. For a business, it means you can budget the cost. On the up side as long as you keep the contract in in place you get the latest version when it comes out. Here is a link to the pricing: https://store.filemaker.com/US/ENG/LIC/calculator/step2

Best of luck.

Thanks, looks like that's what's happening. I am really loath to upgrade to Filemaker 11,
since they keep moving away from what I want the program to be. And I hate their moving
the side bar to the top, because it's "more like Microsoft® Office®."

Are you running Show Leopard on your Mac? If so, the inability to print from

So you would either need to upgrade FileMaker or downgrade your OS.

I've got a Mac running Filemaker 8.5 trying to print to an Epson printed being
shared through an Airport Express Base Station. The Mac can print to the
printer fine, except for one oddity: Filemaker Pro cannot print, and when I hit
command P to print the record I need, it...refuses to let me click the Print
button. Nothing will make that button press when printing from Filemaker Pro,
though it's possible to make a PDF and then print that from Preview.

Does anyone have any recommendations about how I might solve this? It's
frustrating and embarrassing since I'm bringing PC users over and trying to
explain why the Mac usually works fine, but just not in this one case.
