Couldn't agree with you more!! Seems kind of a dumb question anyway since I really don't think there can be one "best" IDS/IPS system. Like they say, "One man's junk, is another man's treasure" and everyone will always have different opinions as to which program is better than the other. It all boils down to research, testing, and finding the one that works best for your environment.
