Hi Edgar, If you use PKI certificates with your email client then you can encrypt all email exchanges between parties with certificates. The issue that occurs
A number of solutions come to mind: - cacert http://www.cacert.org - free SSL/Email certs - free email certs http://www.instantssl.com - CA manager supplied with most linux distros - Microsoft certificate server in 2003 or later - entrust - clearswift - gateway mail solution that allows material to be signed/encrypted went sent. One observation; it is, in my opinion, a bad idea to exchange credit card details via email, this is an accident waiting to happen. It is too easy to bypass controls or redirect details. Better to change the process so that any payment info goes direct, over the phone to the parties responsible for payments. We need to comply with PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards. We have Windows 2008 and Exchange 2007 SP2. So far, we haven't found a way to encrypt and store mail in Exchange. We'll be encrypting communications with TLS. Plus, we need to use OE (Outlook Express) so we can use IMAP for incoming mail and SMTP for outgoing e-mail. Any ideas/suggestions are more than welcome. Thank you. **CONFIDENTIAL NOTICE** This e-mail and any files transmitted with it may contain PRIVILEGED or CONFIDENTIAL information and may be read or used only by the intended recipient.
