I have also had very good luck with Norton. You do, however, need to sign on
to the website regularly (I try to do it weekly) to keep it updated for the
latest nastiness. I first installed it after I got a virus that did not even
require opening an attachment - which I am usually careful not to do if I
don't know the contents (kakworm was the virus).

Subject: Re: [folkschool-list] Nasty new virus - Sircom
<< File: vcard.vcf >> Hiya Jon,
Thanks for the warning. My virus software is old and after I went to get
an update today, it told
me that Inoculate Personal Edition has been changed to a new company & they
do not offer free
upgrades on the internet.
Can you suggest something I can buy/borrow for anti-virus protection? I
know that the technology
is changing so fast. I have bought several different programs in the last
few years, and they don't
offer free upgrades anymore (i.e. Macafee, Viruscan, and two more that I
can't remember the name). So
I need some help on this. Thanks.
In solidarity, Roxanne
