I'm aware of the single vs. double-click issue, but I'm quite sure that it's not the problem here. I've been able to experience this problem on at least 4 different computers, with the appropriate # of clicks. I think it's just some MS Office and Windows weirdness.

I have noticed the phenomenon that Steve describes, also. I am forever
double-clicking the shortcut buttons on my Office Shortcut Bar - and just
what he describes happens. It took me awhile to figure out what was going
on, but once I did I have begun to break the double-click habit on that
feature.
