Tom, We are, as the new generations are keeping music like this alive.
I posted Joel on here before, as I got his CD of Woodie songs, just a wonderful CD. As well as the Billy Bragg one. Another forgotten person is Charlie Poole, as Loudon Wainwrights 111 has kept his music alive. I love Loudon CD of his songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYN6KbmIAOM the story of his Charlie Poole project as I love this CD. Lots of Charlie Poole on YouTube. I don't think I've ever heard of those people. When I think of Guthrie singers, I think of Rambling Jack Eliot, Pete Seeger, and even Alex Campbell in Paris singing "Standin' down in New York town one day."
