Dear David,

I would like to metrically offset longer notes and tuplets, but avoid tries in 
such cases as far as possible in order to make the notation less cluttered. I 
understand that the tied notation should be the default, but the notation I 
want is not unheard of either (e.g., common in Webern scores). 

Below is an example. Would it be possible to avoid any ties in this example 
(except for notes that cross bar lines, of course). I was already reading about 
fomus options such as mod-div and mod-div-divrules, but I could not work out 
how to use them. Increasing the value for the option div-tie-score seems to 
make no difference.
