Have a look at the 'tuplets' setting.  Heres an example:

Afaik fomus isn't yet 100% magic (although coming close!).  You get what
you ask for in terms of the temporal values you've put in the score,
tuned to match settings such as beatdiv and tuplets, and presumably many
others such as bars and various tie- related settings.

Btw, having a way to run only fomus' quantification engine on 'linear',
raw temporal input, and get 'quantified' or symbolic rhythmic output in
a hierarchical representation (rqq/rtm-trees or some such) would be
great, and make for an extremely useful extension.  Its already
available somewhere in the processing, so maybe this is already
possible?
