Hello.

Is the Bitstream Vera font licensed under GPL 2.0?  Bitstream's website states 
(inter alia) that the 

                "The Bitstream Vera fonts are available for free copying and 
redistribution. They can be modified as long as the font name is changed. The 
fonts cannot be packaged by themselves for sale, but can be sold with any 
software. The GNOME Foundation will incorporate the fonts into GNOME releases, 
giving end users of all levels, as well as GNOME developers, the advanced 
display capabilities they offer."
What does it mean to say that the "GNOME Foundation will incorporate the fonts 
into GNOME releases"?  Does this refer to the unmodified Bitstream Vera fonts?  
Will the licensee's modifications or derivatives of the Bitstream Vera font 
become open source?
