Hi everybody,
        I suspect to have a problem with fonts.
        I have installed cygwin and Xfree 4.2.0 onto a NT4.0 Workstation to
access via XDMCP a set of servers with HP-UX 10.20 and 11.00.
        For some of these servers I have no problem: I connect to them and
the CDE login appears and then all goes well.
        But for other I see the CDE hourglass but the login never appears.

        Initially (a month or two ago) I had this problem with all the
HP-UX machines, then I copied a bunch of .pcf fonts found on those
machines to my XFree installation and I solved the problem for some of
those machines (but not all).
        I suspect that the HP-UX machines for which the login doesn't
arrive request to XFree some font that I don't have.
        For these reason I need some method to trace all the requests for
fonts made to my X server by the clients.
        Is there a way to do this?

        Note that:
                1) I can't run a font server on my machine because xfs crashes
at the first request (this must be a problem of cygwin);
                2) I tried to run a font server on the non-functioning
machines: it didn't help;
                3) other commercial XServers (I tried PC-XWare 5.0) are able
to successfully login to all the machines.

        Please HELP!!!!! I spend many time trying to understand what's
going wrong, but I had no success.

        Thank you,

                                        Danilo Turina
