Regardless of client/server fonts the bandwidth requirement will
be forced up by images. For apps that display images the glyph
data is often small relative to image data.

How does XPrint handle images to a 1200 DPI printer now?
Also, handling the fonts on the client does not necessarily
preclude XPrint handling the fonts on it's end.
For Mozilla printing I'm working on getting the glyph outlines
to the printer via Ghostscript.
