now that i have your attention....
as some of you are no doubt aware, i am currently ordering manager.
unfortunately, i will not be able to do this forever, so my plan is to train
some of YOU to take over from me when i leave, so that hopefully we won't be in
a situation of having nobody who knows the job. but keep reading - because THIS
IS NOT JUST FOR PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY MIGHT LIKE TO BE ORDERING MANAGER SOME
DAY! of course, once i have trained you, you could take on the role if you
wanted to. alternatively, you might be want to take on the role for a couple of
weeks while a permanent person is found, or you might support someone who is
new to the role and hasn't been trained in it. or help to train others.

so, what do you have to do, and what's in it for you?
if you're interested in being trained, please contact me. we'll then organise a
time to meet and we'll spend some time going over the basics. i'm not sure how
much time it will take, but i promise it won't be more than an hour or two a
week for any more than a couple of weeks - and you'll get the same discount as
if you spent that time in the shop (ie if it takes one hour in a week you get
30%...).
once you're trained, if you want to keep giving me a hand (eg checking stock
each week, or checking prices, or keeping an eye on clean barrels) to keep
earning a discount, you are more than welcome. but even if you don't want to do
this, please get trained as an ordering person :)

hope to hear from you soon... :)
