Below are the meetings in mad sucka text format. The .doc attached is much easier to read, except I guess for people can't read .docs at all, in which case you're stuck making sense of...

Thoughtful Foods Co-op Meetings Minutes
(now with 10% more fly rhymes!)

Present: Georgie, Monika, Rob and Danesh, Notably absent was ET host John Tesh. Happily also Steve and Brenda, Though Steve arrived midway through the Agenda.
Apologies: Apologies from within numbered None, But the sticky sticker stickers sure gave one. (see below)
Location: Inside the shop we all know and love, Rob wore a yellow beanie but not a glove(??)
Time/Date: On the twenty second of October Two-Thousand-And-Three, it started pretty close to five forty three.

Agenda

First aid kit in shop?
There already is one; it's kept at the back of the shop above the sink. It's rather limited in scope and appears to have originated sometime in the Paleolithic Period so it will get renewed sometime soon. For any ills more severe than a cut finger it may be a good idea to go to the union building a few doors down or something.

Website person needed
Someone will ask on the list soon (seemingly either Rob or Georgie). In terms of content, this has to be decided. A fair solution would be for the person interested in doing it to come up with some ideas of what they'd like to be on it and then bring that to a later meeting where it will be voted in or turfed. Ann(e) O'Grady is the one to talk to about this because she was the last who had anything to do with the website (putting up the newsletter).

Finances: annual report
We have profits Chopper Dave. The overview is that we have made up previous years' losses and now have ample reserve to bail us out of any mid-size emergencies that may but hopefully will not arise.

Department of fair trading lodgement
There are now two copies of the rules and procedures we are required to follow underneath the counter.

Venue for end of session dinner
Helen has suggested "Tum's Thai" in Randwick. Steve was not convinced that this venue could actually handle the size of contingent we're looking to bring in. Others thought they could. In any case it was decided that Thai in general is a fine choice indeed.

Date for end of session dinner
At the least after most interested parties have finished their exams. This puts the potentials at about the last week of November or the first week of December. Anyone interested in attending will shortly be asked to reply to someone with their preferences for dates.

Activities and shop hours over stuvac/exams/summer (monika)
Unless anyone else has any excellent ideas the shop will probably only be open on Tuesday starting in the first week of exams. The will remain the case until mid-december, from whence the shoppe will be closed permanently until early February. Furthermore, from the time the shop is only open for one day a week, there'll be FIRE SALES on the more perishable stock.

Report backs/Comments on Previous Minutes

There will be probably be no hammock :~{ (from Rob)
The sticky sticker stickers have been properly chastised. They were freely forthcoming with ample apologies.

Task List

Rob to tell everyone not to leave sweet stuff sitting around in the fridge or anywhere actually.

Tanya to get back to us in the next meeting with any decision/result re: political stance of the shop (the saga continues...)

Random announcements

*In order to encourage purchase of organic products the shop will start subsidising some organic items - Lentils, Rice, Oats. Check out the reductions in the already great low prices! ! !!!....!!!
This item caused a lot of discussion as to whether the shop should be subsidising organic products, and if so then how much and so forth.

*The Co-Op needs YOU - a new (board of?) directors is required for the co-op. Interested parties should contact probably Helen for now. The primary desired quality is that you'll be around for another year or more because changing the roster a lot is fairly painful. Some secondary desired qualities are the burning ambition to conquer the world with giant hamsters and being near-fluent in pirate lingo.

*As a general comment, not much feedback ever comes in regarding the various decisions we throw open to the Co-op. Being a co-op, this can make things difficult. So please don't be afraid to voice all yall opinion, y'hear?
