Hi Everyone!

I'm not sure if you all know this, but currently the UNSW Student
Union provides us with our shop space free of rent, and was
instrumental in ensuring that we still have a co-op. It's now the
Union which is under threat, from none other than VSU (Voluntary
Student Unionism). No matter what your particular political beliefs,
Thoughtful Foods would not have, and would not exist (as least in it's
current form) without the support and funding of Student Unions at
UNSW (not to mention all the other great stuff they do!)

So I thought I would write to remind you all that there is a Student
Unions National Day of Action tomorrow against VSU. It's important
that we, as Thoughtful Foods, get as people out there as possible to
show our support for both the Guild (who provided us with free rent
and support for many years) and the Union (who currently provide our
shop rent-free). So get out there, wear your t-shirts if you have them
and show Australia the cultural diversity of UNSW and university life.

WHAT: Anti-VSU Rally
WHEN: Tomorrow 12pm->
WHERE: Meeting at the library lawn for speakers from the greens and
labour parties, followed by a free bus ride into town to march down
past UTS and Sydney.
WHY: Cause we love our student unions- even the uni doesn't support this
EXTRA INFO: The VC has asked that students do not get penalised
academically for attending the march.

See you there!

Peace, love and good vibes...

"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull
his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you
understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send
signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that
there is no cat."

Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955), when asked to describe radio
