Hey all, busy time, busy time, i know. Here is a brief run-down on what happened at the meeting on Wednesday- the people there were Myself, Monika and Bri. If you see anything on this list that you'd like to take over, or think you might be able to help with please let us know.
1. Grant from Union: Gemma now has the info and will write it up in the next week so we can finally get a cheque from them still pending from last year. Grant from Guild: Gemma will be also writing a letter to the Guild, asking for a grant (amount to be decided), as we are struggling financially after a quiet semester and the move). 2. Stocktake: the date is set for THIS TUESDAY from 5.30pm till we're done. We will also be writing a list at this time for what needs to be ordered for next session. 3. A cleaning working bee will be organised for the week before uni starts. Ordering will also happen (by gem at this stage) early in this week so stock arrives in t ime for Week 1. Promotion material will also need to be produced in this time. -also for week 1-3 we have the launch of a big fair trade campaign and e-week. gem will try to keep updated about e-week, and mon will soon send out a copy of the minutes from the last fair trade minute to the managment committee, which gem will forward to lily as she said she was interested in doing this. 4. Gemma will shortly be sending a pre-emptive email about the upcoming AGM, probably after the exam period so people might read it :) 5. SOS are planning to buy the remaining sweets and snacks at a mates discount of 25%, Mon will make sure we receive a cheque for these goods before we do ordering. 6. Some time in the break the following will happen: - a deak will be constructed behind the front bench, and the computer will live there rather than in the office. -Bri will make the library happen in the shop, and gem will get a library program for the com puter so we can loan books with minimal losses. - something wil happen about the floor. gem will research this and get permission. - the phone will be contected: whatever it takes! Thats it for now, signing off and back to my study. Peace, love and good vibes,,, * gem * "You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat."
