hi all!

the stories, campaigns, history of enviro and food
coop stuff @ unsw night is happening at ecoliving on
tuesday the 27th (yep, next week). ecoliving is at 14
arthur str about 3 minutes walk from upper campus (see
below for directions). it starts from around 430-5pm
until late - mickey leaves for the uk next week and
has to be somewhere else later that night, other
people like reece and robyn cant make it until about
7ish.

the idea is for this to be a casual laid back campaign
stories and type night - its about having a bit of a
reunion for old crew and also ensuring that current
crew who have just pulled off a great enviro week
actually have a chance to meet. we'll either hang out
in the garden or inside the house something along the
lines of a few hours @ ecoliving either in the garden
or inside if its cold or dark to just chat and tell
stories, bounce around ideas generally catch up.
mickey and i have invited some of the unsw crew who
have done enviro and/or food coop stuff in the past
but now moved on to other amazing things tell new crew
about stuff that the collective, sean etc. did while
they were around -basically a means of actually
passing on and sharing our history so we can remember
it, learn from it, get some ideas and inspiration,
learn from previous successes and not etc. after some
debate, mickey and i have mainly invited the '99-02
crew who we still have contact details for plus a few
others, with the idea of organising something a bit
more formal with actual speakers for the crew from SEA
(student enviro alliance, the old name for the enviro
collective at unsw) and further back than that. this
is mainly as these people are now very high profile
things such as kerry nettle, leith sharpe is working
at harvard and things need to be organised
considerably in advance but quite a few of the 99-02
crew are heading off overseas in the very near future.
the night is also going to be a bit of social fun
thing so people can hang around or we all cook dinner
together or something along those lines - so we're
asking you to bring a plate of food to share

so regardless of of whether you've just started
getting involved or are an oldie from way back, are
doing or used to do food coop stuff, enviro stuff or
both, it'd be great to see you there!

directions: to find ecoliving from upper campus - head
up to the biomed lawn, walk out the gate and across
high str, walk down towards the race course for about
30m until you hit a road on your right, turn into this
road and walk straight ahead until you get to arthur
str (first on the right). walk down arthur str. until
you get to number 14 (its a big house with wide
driveway that has the community permaculture garden at
the end of it. the house itself is a duplex, one half
is painted white and the other brown and there is
ecoliving centre sign in the window).
