hi all!
there were lots of problems with the finances stuff for this week - it is really really important that you fill out the paperwork when you do a close and follow the correct proceedures cos i cant workout what is going on otherwise and its takes heaps of time to try and reconstruct what happened.
important bits - please read all the way to the end. ta
takings get banked into the safe - locked drawer on the right handside of the counter NOT the veggie box
you need to fill out the daily takings sheet when you do a close. the daily takings sheets are located on the finances clipboard which hangs on the wall underneath the clock behind the counter. this means you fill in the total amount of cash in till, any credit sales, over rings, cash payments, calculate the z read comparision (follow formula on sheet), write down the amount on the z read, write down the closing float and amount in the bag that is being banked.
people who open need to write down the opening float amount in the collumn that corresponds to the day they are opening on
if you dont know how to close, please dont try to close - instead please put your name and contact details down in the diary along with availible times so that we can sort out training. you need to do at least two closes with someone else who knows what they are doing -one where they show how you to close and another where you close but someone else is there to answer any questions and check that you've got the process right and feel comfortable with closing on your own.
if something goes wrong or you've gotten confused please leave a note in the diary explaining what happened along with your contact details so i can work out what happened and figure out how to fix it - not leaving any info makes this impossible. problems can be dealt with and sorted out but we need info about what happened so we can do that
can everyone who closed on monday, tuesday or wednesday of this week please either leave their contact details in teh diary or drop me an email so i try and work out what happened and to sort out a time to check people know what they are doing when they are closing
