Hello Thoughtful Foodies and others in the UNSW enviro grapevine
I'm a long time member of Thoughtful Foods and all things green at UNSW, although I've been out of town for a couple of years (living and working in Laos, south-east Asia).
I've decided to do something I never thought I would which is to have a big party that some people call a wedding.
We're expecting about 130 people and it's a bring a vegetarian plate affair. I need some help in the kitchen preparing some salads that can only be done at the last minute, heating food, putting food in serving bowls and washing up (there's a dishwasher!). Do you need some extra cash and an adventure in the Blue Mountains?
The big day is Saturday March 18th a!
nd I need
four people to help out including:
· 1 coordinator to oversee the whole affair working a long shift from say 3:00pm until 12:00pm.
· 1 person to start at 3:00pm and finish at 10:00pm
· 2 people to start at 4:00pm finishing at 11:00pm.
These times are only a rough guide and could be altered and/or reduced if you are really efficient! I could pay each person $100 and the coordinator $150. I could also provide accommodation onsite either in a dorm room or a camp site (the wedding is on a farm). Of course food would be provided, including a catered breakfast. You would have to pay for your own transport (I could arrange a lift from Blackheath station if necessary).
Ideally the four would know each other so that they could coordinate the trip up together and decide who would take on what before the day. It would be good if the coordinator at the very least has worked in catering before, even if it is being involved in organizing a Thoughtful Foods tofu burger stall!
