Do you think what's happening to our forests, climate, food, The Earth and many of its people in general ain't right?
Do you want to spend some time with amazing people who care about the environment as well?
Do you want to meet co-op people from around the country?
Well the Students of Sustainability Conference is the thing for you
What is it?
It's the most exciting and inspirational thing you could do over your Winter break.
Students of Sustainability Conference (SoS), is the largest meeting of the environment movement in the country. Attracting between 600 and 800 participants, it is now in its 15th year.
SoS is a convergence of communities, students, academics, environment and Indigenous groups from around Australia. From those who are new and want to find out more to those who have dedicated their lives to the protection of the environment, SoS has something for all. It features inspiring speakers, practical workshops, community nights, films, field trips, action and celebration. It's one of the best weeks of the year.

Registering for SoS
We hope to get a lot of people coming to SoS from UNSW, and as such will be doing group registration. Nicky Ison (me) is coordinating group registration for UNSW. The details are as follows:
Cost of the Conference – Early Bird
Early Bird Registration (must be paid in full by Friday 7/06/06)
$130 Full Conference Concession/Unwaged
General Registration
$160 Full Conference Concession/Unwaged
$95 Three Day Pass Concession/Unwaged
$50 One Day Pass Concession/Unwaged
These prices for the full week include 3 organic meals a day, camping and the jam packed 5 day program including entertainment.
Fundraising and Subsidies
The cost of the conference is amazingly cheap for what it is, but we know students are strapped for cash, so if money is an issue there are 25 Guild Environment Department Subsidies of $50 available. We want as many people to come as possible, so don't let money stop you. We will also be doing some fundraising – selling cakes and t.shirts, a Sydney wide fundraiser is being planned for June 10 – celebrate the end of Semester and come along. So there will probably be more subsidy available. Come along and help out.
So if you're interested in coming or want to find out more, reply to this email, give me a call or drop into the Enviro Desk at the UNSW Student Guild by next Wednesday (31 June).
Hope to see you there, if not before.
Nicky Ison
