Acrobat Readers by Adobe do not support reference XObjects - Acrobat neither. Imposition o What do you exactly want to program? I suppose a kind of "preprinted form". Imposition in the printing industry is something else - at least in German. o What is the external interface in XSL:FO? How will you catch this stuff in the renderer? Hansuli Anderegg P.S. PDF versions: viewers are generally backwards compatible: a viewer processing PDF 1.4 is also able to handle PDF 1.3.
