Actually, the problem was probably related to an old problem with leader
expansion: the leader was supposed to fill the rest of the line, and the page
numbers would overflow the line. Somehow 0.20.5rc suddenly counted the page
numbers for text justification, perhaps because the reserved space was changed
from zero(!) to 3*spacewidth.
Leader expansion is fixed now, at least for one leader per line.
