Mostly general FOP development info, but the design part is about FOP CVS HEAD aka 1.0dev aka redesign. > - cvs/... /xdocs/DnI: simon, thanks a lot for your xdoc DnI, it really > helped me diving into the code. some parts of it have changed. i > started to update it and made a patch for chapter 4.1 , you can find > it attached to bug 33126. if it's useful for you, i'll continue. I'll let Simon answer that. > - fop-wiki (http://wiki.apache.org/xmlgraphics-fop/FOPProjectPages) > seems pretty up to date. please tell me if FOPProjectTasks and > FOPWorkEstimates are up to date. FOPProjectTasks is awfully out of date, but FOPWorkEstimates is up-to-date. I'm working on that task list ATM. Feel free to update FOPProjectTasks. > - are there some more key-docs? not to my knowledge, except the XSL spec, of course. :-) > *** plans *** > (thinking loud) > i plan to start with some documentation update. i see there is a brand > new site at xmlgraphics.apache.org/ to do. Actually, there's not much to do there. The FOP and Batik sites stay where they are for the moment but may eventually move over under xmlgraphics.apache.org. Actually, it wouldn't be so bad if they did as long as we can do a proper redirection for people with bookmarks. > what about rtf-rendering? is peter herweg still active on it? I'm afraid not. I've done a few things during the last months but haven't got much time for that part right now. But I'll get back to this part eventually. > i'm open, so please give me some hints on where i could start We are, too. Tell us what you're interested in. Or else, just pick something from a todo list and start hacking and sending patches against CVS HEAD. > as i am pretty new to open-source developpment, please let me know if > i'm doing things the right way.
