Either way is fine for me. What I'm seeing is that most of the old layout code is commented out in the Knuth branch, so even if a "dead end" occurs we can probably work within this branch to restore the old code. Further, many of the changes in the Knuth branch we would want to bring to the main branch anyway. Glen
