Needs? No. I've moved, uh, copied the important stuff already. There's a couple of things on the list you can think about moving: http://wiki.apache.org/xmlgraphics/XmlGraphicsCommonComponents More important to me would be that Batik started adopting Commons.
I plan to start moving the rest of the Transcoder dependencies (PDF, fonts etc.) after the next FOP release and when we know what our font strategy is.
