Looks like an encoding problem. Perhaps you have Unicode characters in 
your XML file. Instead of embedding the unicode characters in the XML 
file it may be best to use a character entity reference, e.g.

&#x00C2;
If this doesnt help, please let us know what encoding your XML and XSL
