Title: RE: Print PDF !!!

I am not 100% sure how it prints. I don't have a pdf printer. I am just using an HP laser printer. I just stream the PDF to the "print service" and it works. The "gif"  was a typo.

I don't know what Java does under the hood. All I know is I tried this in 1.4 and it didn't work, it now works in 1.5 It look like the finally implemented the : DocFlavor flavor = DocFlavor.INPUT_STREAM.PDF

Okay, so you are using Java 1.5. How does Java 1.5 print a PDF then? Assuming you dont have a printer that understands PDF. It is important to understand how it works so we can get some idea about how accurate Java's interpretation of PDF will be? It may be very different from Adobe's interpretation.

Looks like you are printing a gif Image, not a PDF ....
