Thanks for link. However I am not getting any FOP font exception at all.
When I open the XML in IE I do see the Japanese characters. But when pass
the XML thru FOP and the open the PDF within IE I get junk characters like
"#####".
I can email the userconfig.xml and font metrics file if you want.
Also want fonts are used to display Japanese Kanji characters on windows? I
am asking this question cos one site I found MS ARIAL UNICODE is used
however in the example under FOP/ fo/advanced they have used MS GOTHIC .

Are you sure FOP is able to find your fonts?
