I'm using fop0.20.5 and have come across an issue with
the algorithm that balances the text column depth. For example in
dual column text followed by something that spans all, the dual column text
has about 1/3 more rows in the left column than the right column,
leaving some empty lines in the left column before displaying the item
that spans all. I've downloaded and built the source and was going to
poke around to see what it takes to modify the algorithm. I was
wondering if any fop developers out there could point me in the right direction
as far as where to start looking. My understanding is that this algorithm is being completely
rewritten as part of the redesign (which means any changes I make probably wouldn't be very applicable for the redesigners), unfortunately
our tight project schedule forces me to only look at version
0.20.5. Thanks in advance. |
