hi chris, thank's chris, in thi case you can only create not an empty block but an empty page-sequence at the end of the last page-sequence of your document and make the same thing that i explained....the inconvenient is that you will have a blank page at the end of your document!

Whilst this works for a document with a single sequence of page numbers, the OP said that he has multiple page sequences, which reset the page numbering. In such a situation your solution will return the page number of the sequence containing the id and not the total for the entire document. XSL-FO has no means to manipulate page numbers.
