Hey list,

I wanted to thank everyone for their helpful responses to my previous
question and wanted to give a reply as to how things worked out.

I was able to recover the RAID 0 set in full including the MBR. Granted the
data is not presentable in court due to the unknowing person who attempted to
boot the system, but the information was recovered fully and able to give
additional direction to the investigation team.

  The specifics...

I reset the BIOS as it couldn't initially see the RAID drives at all.
Installed an IDE drive and installed XP. Used RAID reconstructor that

Jyri Hovila recommended and was able to see the drive to make a backup image.
Used the Byteback program that Julie Allen recommended to rebuild

the MBR and viola, the system was able to boot again.

From a legal forensics standpoint it was a total failure (that part failed as
soon as the unknowing person touched the system though) but from a data
recovery standpoint it was a total success.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their responses and let you know how it
turned out...
