Good evening,

So i brought this SD card into my lab, and recieved a series of error
messages. To confirm that my write blocker was not damaged, i used a known
good SD card from my own personal digital camera. Works like a champ, and
was able to obtain a 128mb DD image.

So currently windows and linux can not properly see this device.. Both
detect that the card has been inserted however both run into its own
problems. How can i obtain an image of this device? When i attempt to do a
DD of the device (dd if=/dev/sdb of=image.dd) it states that sdb does not
exist.

Is there a known procedure for forcing the linux OS to allow access to the
media? Currently linux constantly attempts to reset the card several
times, then gives up.

Visually the card is in perfect condition except for some ware marks where
the card has been removed and inserted into a reader. My theory is the
camera was turned on when the damage happened.
