Hi all,

I would like to propose that we move our current web site "engine"
(bunch of html files living in a mercurial repo) to a real content
management engine. I don't want to get wrapped around the axle
discussing if WP is indeed a CMS... I do however want to be able to
manage the web site using the web and the web only! I also want to
have "authors" work on the web site and help maintain it.

>From what I heard (blame pscott if I got this wrong) the major road
block has been the inability/lack of time/whatever to create a simple
CMS appliance in order to consume this ourselves. I say let us not
limit our potential and just do it! We could start a WP project that
would reside in bizarro.foresightlinux.org and live side by side with
the current setup. Let us just splatter the WP tarball in there,
create a wp-theme repository in mercurial and let people have a go at
it customizing it and make it look "pretty"! The theme can then be
easily cloned and updated in place for everyone's delight.

What do you all say about this?
